AI timesheets: AI time tracking software that checks every entry

What the AI does with a timesheet
A quality score on every entry
When an entry is saved, the AI scores its description from 0 to 100 and gives it a verdict:
- GREENclear about the module, the task and the outcome. A score of 70 or more is usually green.
- YELLOWon the right track but missing specifics. Scores from 45 up can be yellow.
- REDtoo vague to tell what was done. Any score below 45 is red.
Each verdict comes with the reasons behind it and suggestions, and usually with a rewritten version of the entry.
Checked against GitHub
For projects connected to GitHub, the check includes that day's commits, pull requests, code reviews and issues. If GitHub shows work the entry does not mention, the AI points it out, so a vague "fixed some bugs" next to five specific commits does not pass as detailed.
Help writing the entry
- Draft a description from your GitHub activity for the day.
- Add detail from the Jira tickets you worked on.
- Improve a description you already wrote.
- Describe the work from up to three screenshots, such as a ticket or a design.
You read the text and decide what gets saved.
Automatic time tracking, if you want it
Manual entry works on its own. For teams that prefer the day to fill itself in, BetterFlow has an optional desktop agent:
- It records which apps, windows and websites were active.
- Rules you set match that activity to projects, by app, website or window title.
- It can run on more than one computer per person.
- AI writes a short summary of each block on the timeline once the day is over.
- Time worked away from the computer can be added by hand and waits for a manager's approval.
AI analysis for the whole team
People with access to reports can run three kinds of AI analysis over a period:
- Quality check across one person or many.
- Work patterns for one person.
- Team balance across several people, to see how work is spread.
People who manage settings can also choose whose AI quality badges are shown, one person at a time or in bulk.
Questions about AI timesheets
What does the AI do with a timesheet entry?
It reads the description, gives it a score from 0 to 100 and a GREEN, YELLOW or RED verdict, and lists the reasons behind it and suggestions. Most of the time it also suggests a rewritten version of the entry.
Does BetterFlow check entries against GitHub?
Yes. When a project is connected to GitHub, the check includes the commits, pull requests, code reviews and issues from the same day, and points out work that the entry does not mention.
Can the AI write the entry for me?
It can draft one from your GitHub activity, improve a description you wrote, add detail from your Jira tickets, or describe your work from up to three screenshots. You review the text before you save it.
Do I have to use the desktop agent?
No. You can log time by hand. The desktop agent is optional and records which apps, windows and sites were active so the day fills itself in.
