BetterFlow, built by BetterQA with 8+ years of experience, uses a minimal set of cookies. We use only 3 types of cookies and do not sell data to third parties. All data is stored in EU-based data centers. According to a report by the European Commission, 70% of users prefer transparent cookie policies.

What are cookies and how does BetterFlow use them?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help us provide essential functionality. They also improve your experience and track usage.

What types of cookies does BetterFlow use?

1. Essential cookies (required)

These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled.

  • Authentication: Keep you logged in to your account
  • Session management: Maintain your active session
  • Security: Protect against CSRF attacks
  • Load balancing: Route requests to servers

Duration: Session cookies or up to 30 days.

2. Functional cookies (optional)

These cookies enhance your experience. They remember your preferences.

  • Language preferences: Remember your selected language
  • UI settings: Save dashboard layout preferences
  • Timezone: Display times in your local timezone

Duration: Up to 1 year.

3. Analytics cookies (optional)

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to see how visitors use the public pages of betterflow.eu (the homepage, the blog and these legal pages). Nothing is loaded from Google until you click Accept in the cookie banner. It never runs inside the BetterFlow application (app.betterflow.eu), on sign-in, invitation or password pages, or on any page whose address carries a token.

  • Cookies: _ga and _ga_<ID>, set by Google Analytics on betterflow.eu
  • What is sent: the public page address (without personal parameters), the page name, the referring site's domain only, and technical data such as browser, device and approximate location derived from your IP address
  • Not used: advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off
  • Legal basis: your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR
  • Transfers: Google may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses

You can withdraw consent at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our public pages. Withdrawing deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Duration: Up to 2 years, or until you withdraw consent.

What third-party cookies does BetterFlow use?

We use select third-party services that may set cookies:

  • Payment processing: Stripe sets cookies for secure payments
  • Email services: Brevo tracks delivery and opens (with consent)
  • DeskTime integration: May set cookies for time tracking sync
  • Google Analytics: on our public website pages only, after you accept (see section 3 above)

How can I manage my cookie preferences on BetterFlow?

In-platform controls

You can manage optional cookies with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our public pages, which reopens the consent banner.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you control cookies through settings:

  • Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies
  • Firefox: Options, Privacy and Security, Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences, Privacy, Cookies
  • Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions

Disabling essential cookies will prevent the Platform from working.

5. Do Not Track (DNT)

We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. When either is enabled, Google Analytics is off by default and we do not show the cookie banner. If you still want to allow analytics, you can turn it on yourself with the Cookie settings link; that explicit choice is the one we follow, and you can withdraw it the same way. Essential functionality is maintained.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
